Walnut, Ca - Melissa Yunghans captured the shot put title during Saturday's action at the Mt. SAC Relays.
Yunghans beat eight other competitors with a throw of 48-8 1/4 (14.84m).
In other action, Sarah Hopping, who a day earlier broke her school record in the hammer (205-10, 62.74m) at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational, had a strong effort on Saturday at the Mt. SAC Relays with a throw of 203-4 (61.97m).
