Seattle, Wash. - High winds in the Seattle area have caused the cancellation of the Head of the Lake Regatta for the first time in the event's 26-year history. The Stanford women's rowing team had had been scheduled to compete with two boats of eight in the event. The Cardinal still has novices competing Sunday at the Head of the Lagoon in Foster City.
