Arizona State's Amy Denson missed a long shot but Kristen Kovesdy grabbed the rebound and was fouled with 49 seconds remaining. She made two free throws to put the Sun Devils ahead to stay.
On the subsequent possession, Clare Bodensteiner tried to get the ball in low to Wiggins and January grabbed the errant pass and was immediately fouled.
After January made the two foul shots, Wiggins narrowly missed a 3-pointer with 15 seconds left and January was fouled again after getting the loose ball.
