Tucson, Ariz. - Arizona (16-20, 4-7 Pac-10) evened a three-game series against Stanford (17-16, 3-8 Pac-10) with a 14-4 victory over the Cardinal at Kindall Field on Saturday. Brad Glenn (2-5, RBI) and Travis Steele (2-5, 2B) each added two-hit games as all nine Arizona starters had at least one hit, and Derek Decater drove in a pair of runs.

Brad Mills (4-3) got the victory, scattering four runs (two earned) and seven hits over the first 6.0 innings with five strikeouts and three walks, while Daniel Schlereth (3.0 IP, 1 H, 3 BB, 4 SO) picked up his third save by holding the Cardinal scoreless over the final 3.0 frames, striking out four and walking three.

Ryan Seawell (2-5, 2B) and John Hester (2-5) had half of Stanford's eight hits.

Jeremy Bleich (2-3) took the loss for the Cardinal, allowing six runs (five earned) on nine hits with four strikeouts over the first 4.2 frames.

Arizona led 6-4 when Bleich was removed from the game with two outs in the bottom of the fifth and added to their lead with eight unanswered runs off relievers Max Fearnow (2.2 IP, 7 H, 7 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 3 SO) and Blake Holler (0.2 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 1 SO), scoring seven times and sending 12 batters to the plate in the bottom of the eighth to add to a 7-4 lead after seven frames.

Glenn and Schmidt started Arizona's eighth with back-to-back singles before Peep singled home Glenn two batters later for the first Wildcat run of the frame. Schmidt scored all the way from second on an error by Cord Phelps on Brad Boyer's slow roller to the Cardinal second baseman. Fearnow intentionally walked Colt Sedbrook to load the bases before Decater delivered a crushing two-run pinch-hit double to end Fearnow's outing. Holler came on to strike out Donald for the second out before a two-out two-RBI double by Rhinehart and an RBI single from Glenn finally capped the rally.

Arizona had jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on a long homer by Donald over the left field wall in the bottom of the first inning. Plante's two-out single one batter earlier had given Donald the opportunity to hit after Bleich had retired the first two batters.

Stanford got one run back in the third when Seawell doubled, moved to third on an infield single from Hester and scored on Schmidt's passed ball. The Cardinal took a 3-2 lead in the fourth with a pair of runs. Brent Milleville drew a one-out walk and stole second before scoring on Jim Rapoport's two-out RBI triple down the right field line. After Cord Phelps walked with two outs, Seawell hit a grounder to Peep that the Wildcat third baseman threw away trying to retire Phelps at second, allowing Rapoport to score an unearned run.

The Wildcats tied the game at 3-3 on Schmidt's first Arizona homer with two outs in the bottom of the fourth.

Stanford scored its final run of the contest to go back in front 4-3 in the top of the fifth when Taylor tripled with one out and scampered home on an RBI groundout from Chris Lewis.

Arizona took the lead for good with three runs in its half of the fifth. Boyer started the rally with a one-out triple and a bunt single by Sedbrook put Wildcats at first and third. Plante followed with an RBI single to plate Boyer and Sedbrook scored on a Hester passed ball to put the Wildcats ahead 5-4, before Rhinehart came through with a two-out RBI single two batters later to end Bleich's outing.

The Wildcats got a run in the sixth on back-to-back doubles by Steele and Peep before putting the game away with their seven-run eighth.
