Stanford Men's Gymnastics Earns Second Place Finish At Pacific Coast Classic

No. 5 Stanford men's gymnastics took second place last night at the Pacific Coast Classic in Oakland, Calif. The team posted an overall score of 216.650, while No. 3 Oklahoma finished first with a score of 218.450. No. 8 Cal rounded out the top three with a 214.750, while No. 1 Michigan came in fourth, posting a 214.400.

David Sender placed third in the All-Around as he totaled a score of 54.800. Sender placed first on the vault with a score of 9.40 and earned a second place finish on the parallel bars, recording a 9.55.

Bryant Hadden performed well, earning a fifth place finish in the All-Around with a score of 45.450. Hadden's top two finishes came when he tied for fifth on the parallel bars with a 9.25 and then tied for fifth again, this time on the high bar, recording a 9.35.

Dylan Carney once again showed why he is the defending NCAA High Bar Champion. This time Carney earned the top overall spot on the event as he posted a near perfect score of 9.90. Carney competed in three total events to finish 24 in the All-Around with a 27.85.

Alex Schorsch returned from the sideline and showed his shoulder was just fine. Schorsch posted a 9.75 on the still rings, which was good enough for a second place tie in the event.
