Waikoloa, Hi. - The Stanford men's golf team shot a 269 on the second day of competition at the 17th annual UH-Hilo Invitational today in Waikoloa, Hawaii at the Waikoloa Golf Course. The Cardinal's two-round total of 537 (268-269) puts them in a tie for second overall just four strokes behind team leader Oklahoma State (533). Georgia Tech is tied with Stanford at 537, followed by Arizona State (539) and Oregon (542).
Stanford was led by senior Zack Miller who fired a 66 today to move into sixth place on the individual leaderboard with a 133 (67-66). Freshman Joseph Bramlett slipped into a tie for seventh overall after carding a 70 this afternoon, brining his two-day total to 134 (64-70). Teammate Matt Savage (68-67) and Rob Grube (69-66) are tied for 13th while Dodge Kemmer rounds out the Cardinal competitors in a tie for 61st (72-71--143).
Georgia Tech's Cameron Tringale leads the field by one stroke with a 128 (64-64).
The third and final round of the UH Hilo Intercollegiate will be played Friday with tee times beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the par-70, 6,120-yard Waikoloa Village Golf Club.
