Stanford came back from a three week layoff and beat Princeton 17-3 Saturday at the Avery Aquatics Center. Katie Hansen lead the way again with four goals as Stanford never trailed in the game and improved to 15-1 on the season.

Katie Hansen scored the first two goals of the match and Stanford had an early 2-0 lead. After a goal by Princeton driver Lauren Sabb, Stanford scored the next six goals of the match to take an 8-1 lead into halftime. The goal scorers in the first half included four total from Katie Hansen, two goals from Lauren Silver, and goals from Jacquelyn Gauthier and Jessica Steffens.

The second half provided more of the same for Stanford as they shutout Princeton in the third period. Two goals from Katie Donahue and another from Kelly Eaton extended the Cardinal lead to 11-1 after three periods.

Stanford wasn't done in the fourth quarter as Lauren Silver and Kelly Donahue tallied there third goals and Christina Hewko, Alex Koran and Kira Hillman also found the net for Stanford. Two late Princeton goals and the game had its final score of 17-3. Meridith McColl played the first half for Stanford and registered three saves and Kate Heddleston played the second half and also recorded three saves.

Stanford returns to the pool tomorrow as they have two games at the Avery Aquatics Center. First they play University of Maryland at 10:00 am, followed by a 12:00 pm match against Santa Clara.
