No. 5 Men's Gymnastics Downs Nebraska 216.85-206.30

No. 5 Stanford men's gymnastics defeated the University of Nebraska by a score of 216.85-206.30 at the Devaney Center in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Cardinal had individual winners on five of the six events, while David Sender returned to capture the All-Around title.

Stanford swept the top three spots on the floor exercise with Dylan Carney leading the way as he earned a score of 9.40. Sophomore Greg Ter-Zakhariants recorded the second highest score on the event for the Cardinal with a 9.25, followed by Eli Alacaraz posting a 9.00.

On the pommel horse, it was Chris Harper earning the event high score. He posted a 9.40, finishing ahead of two Nebraska gymnasts who both posted a 9.25.

The Cardinal once again swept the top three spots, this time they did it on the still rings. Alex Schorsch led the way with his score of 9.65, followed by Bryant Hadden with a 9.45 and David Sender posting a 9.40.

As the team moved to the vault, it was once again Ter-Zakhariants representing the Cardinal with the event high score of 8.95, giving Stanford their fourth event winner in a row.

Nebraska's T.J. Schmidt was able to take the top spot on the parallel bars as he posted a 9.25. Right behind him in second was Stanford's Harper with a 9.15.

Carney continued his dominance on the high bar as he earned the meet high score with a 9.70, while Sender took second place as he recorded a 9.25.

Sender once again took the All-Around title as he earned a total score of 54.05. Nebraska's Jason Wassung (52.80) and Stephen Tetrault (51.20) finished second and third, respectively.
