Alex Schorsch and David Sender claimed National Championships on the still rings and the vault, respectively at the 2007 National Collegiate Men's Gymnastics Championships tonight in State College, PA.

Schorsch claimed the still rings title as he posted an outstanding score of 9.75. His performance is indicative of his overall excellence the entire season on the still rings, providing the Cardinal with consistency on the event. Tommy Ramos of Penn State finished second (9.725), while Jonathan Horton of Oklahoma rounded out the top three with his score of 9.675.

Sender came into the competition as the 2006 NCAA vault champion, making him the man to beat. However, no one was able unseat Sender as he tied for his second title in as many years with his first place score of 9.30. Pejman Ebrahimi of Ohio State earned the co-championship with Sender as he too posted a score of 9.30 in the event. Jimmy Wickham of Ohio State took home third place as he posted a score of 9.275.

Also competing in the individual event finals for the Cardinal were Chris Harper (pommel horse, No. 3 - 9.20), Sender (pommel horse, No. 9 - 8.325; rings, No. 4T - 9.650), Peter Derman (rings, No. 6 - 9.60), Dylan Carney (vault, No. 9 - 8.70; horizontal bar, No. 7 - 9.05).
