Junior David Sender (Arlington Heights, IL/Buffalo Grove) of the Stanford men's gymnastics team was selected as the Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Apr. 9-15.
Sender helped lead Stanford to a third place finish at the 2007 National Men's Gymnastics Collegiate Championships with a fourth place all-around score of 54.00, while taking first on the vault in the team competition with a score of 9.30. Sender also claimed his second National Title on the vault in as many years with his winning score of 9.30 at the individual event finals.
This is Sender's second Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor. Sender and the rest of the Cardinal men's gymnastics squad finished the 2007 season with a 22-5 overall record, a second-place finish in the MPSF and a third-place finish at the National Collegiate Championships.
