STANFORD, Calif.- Senior Jess Zutz broke a 1-1 tie with her team-leading eighth goal of the year in the second half, leading No. 20 Stanford to a 2-1 victory at Pacific on Sunday afternoon in Stockton, Calif.

Stanford shook off back-to-back losses against rival California with Sunday's win over Pacific. The Cardinal, which also defeated the Tigers 4-2 back on Sept. 2, improves to 7-2 overall with the victory while remaining at 4-1 in NorPac play. Pacific falls to 1-8.

Stanford got on the board first, with freshman Camille Gandhi scoring early at the 6:12 mark thanks to an assist from sophomore Katherine Swank.

Trailing 1-0, Pacific's Katie Fixsen scored unassisted when she tapped in a rebound from a previous shot.

Tied 1-1 midway through the second period, Zutz notched her third game-winner of the year. Travlos sent a cross to Zutz, who beat Pacific goalkeeper Lauren Woods.

Cardinal senior goalkeeper Madison Bell earned the win in goal, making four saves.
