STANFORD, Calif.- Stanford enters the final day of competition at The Stanford Intercollegiate in a tie with Vanderbilt for 10th place overall with a 46-over-par 614 (309-305).
After shooting an opening-round 309 on Friday, the Cardinal fired a 305 on Saturday and was led by sophomore Angela King's team-low round of 74. Meanwhile, junior Mari Chun currently stands in a tie for third individually with a 2-over-par 144 (68-76).
In a challenging 18-team field that includes 11 schools currently ranked among the nation's top-30 according to Golfweek, No. 2 Duke owns a 12-stroke lead with a 6-over-par 574 (282-292). Arizona State (293-293) has climbed into second place at 586 while UCLA (291-296) is now in third place at 587.
Arkansas checks in fourth at 597 (299-298) while California (296-305) and Pepperdine (297-304) are deadlocked in fifth at 601.
Duke's Amanda Blumenherst holds down the top individual spot for the second straight day, carding rounds of 66 and 73 for a 3-under-par 139. Stacy Lewis of Arkansas has posted rounds of 69 and 72 for a 1-under-par 141. Chun is tied for third with New Mexico's Jodi Ewart (69-75) with a 2-over-par 144.
King and freshman Rebecca Durham enter the final day of action tied for 51st after shooting a 14-over-par 156. King improved upon her opening round score of 82 with a season-low 74 on Saturday, while Durham has notched rounds of 79 and 77.
Junior Ki-Shui Liao is tied for 70th overall, as she has tallied rounds of 83 and 78 for a 19-over-par 161. The same can be said for freshman Piper Miller, who has logged rounds of 78 and 83 while playing as an individual.
Sophomore Catherina Wang finds herself in a tie for 74th after following up her opening-round 80 with an 82 on Saturday to sit at 162 (+20).
Senior Saana Rapakko, playing as an individual, owns rounds of 89 and 86 for a 175 total.
