STANFORD, Calif.- Katie Griswold's goal with just over one minute remaining in the first overtime lifted Indiana to a 2-1 victory over Stanford on Monday on a cold and rainy afternoon in Bloomington, Ind.

It was the second overtime loss for the Cardinal on its three-game road stretch, which opened the weekend with a 2-1 overtime loss at No. 13 Louisville before a 10-2 rout of Georgetown the following day.

Stanford now stands at 8-6 overall while Indiana improves to 7-8.

The Hoosiers held advantages in shot attempts (21-10) and penalty corners (15-5) during the match, including a 5-2 shot edge in the extra session. The Cardinal had a couple breakaway chances to score during the overtime but was held scoreless.

Griswold put home the game-winner at the 83:43 mark after Stanford was whistled for a foul deep in its offensive end. Indiana lined up quickly and sent a long outlet pass down the middle of the field and created a two-on-one scoring opportunity. Positioned at the top of the circle, Haley Funk passed down low to Griswold for the score.

Sophomore Midori Uehara, who had not scored a goal in six career games prior to the season-ending road trip, found the net for the third consecutive game. Uehara's goal at the 2:59 mark put Stanford up 1-0, as she took a centering pass from freshman Camille Gandhi and beat Indiana keeper Haley Exner.

Freshman Xanthe Travlos led the Cardinal with three shot attempts while Uehara chipped in with two.

Indiana knotted the game at 1-1 in the 52nd minute thanks to a score from Amanda Oyler, who found the net on a penalty corner following assists from Meg O' Connell and Meredith Brown.

Senior Madison Bell made a season-best 11 saves in goal for the Cardinal.

Stanford closes out the regular season with a pair of home matches. The first is slated for Sunday, Oct. 28, against Michigan at 12 p.m.
