STANFORD, Calif.- Junior Jessica Nguyen and sophomore Lindsay Burdette wrapped up play in the consolation singles draw at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
Nguyen followed up a first round victory with a 3-6, 6-0, 6-3 win over North Carolina's Sanaz Merand in the next round. However, her tournament run ended in the semifinals when she lost to eventual champion Megan Falcon of LSU 6-2, 6-3.
Burdette outlasted Auburn's Fani Chifchieva 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 in her first round match before falling to Northwestern's Georgia Rose 6-4, 6-0.
Stanford returns to action on Oct. 19 when it hosts the ITA Northwest Regional Championships.
