Berkeley, Calif. - Stanford (16-19, 2-9 Pac-10) came out on top in a 4-3 emotional thriller over California (20-20, 4-7 Pac-10) at Evans Diamond on Saturday to even a three-game series between the clubs. The Cardinal scored twice in the top of the seventh to take a 3-2 lead and then came back with the winning run in the top of the eighth after California had scored a run in the bottom of the seventh to tie the score at 3-3. Brian Juhl provided a clutch two-out RBI single to score Adam Sorgi with the game-winning run.
Stanford and California will play the rubber game of the three-game series on Sunday (1 pm, PT) with the Cardinal looking to win a series in Berkeley for the first time since 2004. Neither team has announced a probable starting pitcher for Sunday's series finale.

The first two games of the Oregon State series will be televised live by Fox Sports Net and CSTV, respectively.
