Hallie Ivester Wins Three-Meter To Highlight Stanford's Performance At BYU

Provo, Utah - Hallie Ivester won her first collegiate event with a victory in the three-meter competition in a dual meet at BYU on Friday at the Richards Building Pool. Ivester scored 304.73 points to edge teammate Meg Hostage and BYU's Ava Jackson with 301.28 points each.

"Hallie was great today," said Stanford head coach Dr. Rick Schavone. "This was a breakthrough meet for her."

Hostage was also second and the top Stanford diver in the one-meter event with 293.33 points just behind winner Tawni Jones of BYU, who finished with a score of 294.75.

Others competing for the Cardinal in the 1-meter event included Shana Karp (4th, 260.56), Sarah Ohr (5th, 258.00), Carmen Stellar (6th, 253.95), Ivester (7th, 247.80) and Katie Lampe (8th, 246.76).

Lampe (5th, 295.21), Ohr (6th, 287.25), Stellar (7th, 276.83) and Karp (260.85) joined Ivester and Hostage in the 3-meter for the Cardinal.The Stanford divers will return home to join the team's swimmers in the final regular season meet of the season versus California at the Avery Aquatic Center on Saturday, February 16 (1 pm, PT).
