No. 9 Stanford Finishes Second in Corvallis

Stanford-OSU-Seattle Pacific Meet Results

No. 9 Stanford women's gymnastics dropped another heartbreaker in Corvallis on Friday night after finishing second last weekend in Chicago. The Cardinal defeated Seattle Pacific but fell to Oregon State by three tenths of a point 196.700-196.375. This kept the Cardinal record at 5-4 on the season.

Senior Tabitha Yim led the way once again with a 39.375 score in the all around. She recorded a 9.900 on vault and 9.875 on bars and floor. Senior Liz Tricase recorded the high score of the night when she earned a 9.925 on vault.

Oregon State was led by Jami Lanz, who recorded a 39.425 in the all around. The Beavers got a huge boost when Tasha Smith scored a 9.975 on floor, which was the highest score in the entire competition.

The Cardinal also got a lift from Blair Ryland, who scored a 9.825 on vault. Junior Nicole Ourada also scored a 9.850 on vault.

Stanford will return to the gym on Sunday, Feb. 24 when they return home to face off against California.
