No. 7 Stanford Wins UNO

Final Stats

No. 7 Stanford continued its strong run with a score of 195.800 to win the UNO "Flip For a Cure" meet at Arizona State University. Stanford was led by junior Nicole Ourada, who had a 38.875 in the all-around and senior Tabitha Yim scored a 9.900 on bars and 9.750 on beam.

Redshirt sophomore Allyse Ishino also led the Cardinal with three scores over 9.825 on all events besides floor exercise. Senior Liz Tricase also scored a 9.925 on bars to give Stanford a spark.

San Jose State finished second in the meet with a score of 194.200. They were led by Veronica Porte, who scored a 39.050 in the all-around. Arizona State was third in the competition, with a team score of 194.000. The Sun Devils were very thin and only competed with eight gymnasts, with three competing in the all-around. They were led by Tiana Jean, who scored a 39.025.

The Cardinal will return to the floor next Friday, Mar. 7 at 7:00 p.m in their "Senior Day" meet against Alabama and Nebraska. It will be the final home competition for the six the seniors, so come out and show your support at Maples Pavilion for Stanford women's gymnastics.
