Final Stats

STANFORD, Calif.- Stephanie McLamb's goal seven minutes into overtime lifted Radford to a 1-0 victory over Stanford on Friday night in a NorPac conference game played at Davidson, N.C.

Friday's shutout represented the Highlander's (3-4, 1-1 NorPac) first victory over the Cardinal (2-6, 1-1 NorPac) since 2005.

Following some back-and-forth play during the overtime period, Radford drew the first penalty corner of the extra session. McLamb took a pass from Lynsey Daughtrey and ripped a shot from the top of the circle, and the shot was deflected off the defense into the cage for the game-winner.

During a scoreless first half, Stanford held identical 4-3 edges in shot attempts and penalty corners. In the second half, each team took four shots while the Cardinal owned a 6-3 advantage in penalty corners.

Stanford ended up with an overall 10-7 edge in penalty corners while both teams attempted nine shots.

Sophomore Camille Gandhi led the Cardinal with three shot attempts while sophomore Xanthe Travlos and freshman Stephanie Byrne tallied two apiece.

Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Alessandra Moss made six saves in the loss.

Stanford concludes its three-game, five-day road trip on Sunday against Longwood. The match is scheduled for 9 a.m. PT and will also be played at Davidson, N.C.
