STANFORD, Calif.- Junior Landry Fields and sophomore Josh Owens each poured in 17 points to lead five Stanford players in double-figures in a 97-56 victory over Seattle Pacific on Saturday night in an exhibition game at Maples Pavilion.
Senior Lawrence Hill notched a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds while freshman Jeremy Green chipped in with 12 points and senior Kenny Brown added 11.
Stanford shot 53.8 percent overall, limited Seattle Pacific to a 37.9 percent clip and held a 45-26 rebounding edge. The Cardinal finished 8-20 from beyond the arc, thanks to three triples apiece from Brown and Green.
The Cardinal cruised to a 55-30 halftime lead and closed out an easy victory, winning in similar fashion to Tuesday's 93-54 exhibition rout of Cal State Stanislaus.
Statistics from the game do not count toward regular season totals.
A lay-up from Green with 1:23 remaining in the contest gave Stanford its largest lead of the night at 97-55.
A jumper from Owens at the 11:20 mark of the first half provided the Cardinal with its first double-digit lead at 25-15.
Stanford stretched its lead to 21 with 2:27 remaining in the first period and took a 55-30 lead into the break. Owens was 6-8 from the field in the first half and Hill had already totaled 10 points and nine boards.
A three-pointer from Fields at the 15:25 mark of the second half put Stanford ahead 68-38.
Stanford opens the 2008-09 campaign at Yale on Friday, Nov. 14, representing the first time the Cardinal has opened the season on the road since an 81-66 victory at New Mexico back on Nov. 17, 2001.
