STANFORD
Stanford can extend its regular season three-game series win streak to eight dating back to the final three series of 2007 with a victory over Washington State in Sunday's rubber game. Stanford's current string is the club's longest since the Cardinal won an amazing 15 consecutive regular season three-game sets from May 3, 3003 - May 4, 2004.

Erik Davis pitched the first complete game of his career and the first by a Stanford pitcher in 2008. Davis has now gone 2-0 with a 2.81 ERA and struck out 18 in 16.0 innings over his last two starts

Head coach Mark Marquess won his 1296th career game to move to within four victories of 1300 in his career and the No. 10 spot on the all-time victory list for NCAA Division I head coaches.

Stanford scored once in the first inning and did not allow Washington State to score, running its advantage in the first inning over its opponents to 29-4 this season.

Sean Ratliff extended his season-high hit streak to eight games.

Brendan Domaracki extended his career-high hit streak to seven games.

Stanford remained unbeaten on weekends and now has a perfect combined 7-0 mark on Saturdays (5-0) and Sundays (2-0).
