Stanford extended its regular season three-game series win streak to eight dating back to the final three series of 2007. Stanford's current string is the club's longest since the Cardinal won an amazing 15 consecutive regular season three-game sets from May 3, 3003 - May 4, 2004.

Head coach Mark Marquess won his 1297th career game to move to within three victories of 1300 in his career and the No. 10 spot on the all-time victory list for NCAA Division I head coaches.
