OJAI, Calif. - Stanford freshman Bradley Klahn became the fourth Stanford player in program history today to win both the Pac-10 singles and doubles championships in the same year, winning both his finals over opponents from USC and UCLA at the annual tournament in southern California.

No. 48 Klahn defeated the Trojans' No. 67 Steve Johnson in the singles final early in the morning, 7-6(4), 6-4. Then, in the afternoon, he and fellow freshman Ryan Thacher, who make up the No. 45 pair in the nation, needed three sets to defeat the Bruins' Michael Look and Eugen Brazdil, 6-3, 3-6, 7-6(2).

Klahn joins an elite group of Stanford tennis players who have won the conference double, including Alex O'Brien (1992), Sam Warburg (2005), and Matt Bruch (2007).

In invitational singles play, the only other match involving any Cardinal athletes, sophomore Greg Hirshman and senior Jeff Zeller defeated USC's Matt Kecki and Andrews Kells 8-6 in the final, helping Stanford go a perfect three-for-three on the day.
