SAN DIEGO, Calif.-- Stanford Sailing leads a nine-team field at the Pacific Coast Collegiate Sailing Conference Women's Championships, combining to win five of 12 races on the first of two days of sailing.
The "B" Division squad of Eliza Richartz and Alysha de Souza won four of their first six races, for a division-best nine points, finishing second in the second race and third in the fourth.
The "A" Division squad of Hannah Burroughs and Megan Grove have 26 points, sixth-best in their division. The quartet has combined for 35 points, two ahead of UC Irvine, who are second in both the "A" and "B" Divisions.
