NEW HAVEN, Conn.- Junior Hilary Barte was eliminated in singles play but is still alive in the doubles draw after two days of competition at the ITA National Indoor Championships.
Unseeded in the draw, Barte dropped a hard-fought 6-4, 5-7, 7-5 decision to Washington's Denise Dy in the quarterfinals on Friday morning.
However in doubles, Barte and senior Lindsay Burdette advanced to the semifinals after an 8-3 win over Oklahoma's Ana-Maria Constantinescu and Teona Tsertsvadze.
Barte and Burdette will face UCLA's Andrea Remynse and Yasmin Schnack on Saturday at 6 a.m. PT.
