No. 2/2 Stanford Cruises into Pac-10 Championship

LOS ANGELES -- Nnemkadi Ogwumike had 15 points and 10 rebounds as Stanford easily defeated UCLA 73-47 in a semifinal game at the Pac-10 tournament.

Stanford (28-4) started the second half on a 20-3 run and led by 35 when Rosalyn Gold-Onwude scored on a layup with 11:55 remaining. Jayne Appel, who finished with 10 points and seven rebounds, sparked the run with six consecutive points. Ogwumike also added six during that stretch.

Gold-Onwude, who had 12 points, finished the spurt to give Stanford, the top seed in the tournament, a 59-24 lead.

Other than a 12-2 run near the end of the game, the fourth-seeded Bruins couldn't get things going on offense.

UCLA (19-12) shot 23 percent in the first half and didn't have a basket in the second until Antonye Nyingifa hit a jumper with 12:22 remaining.

Nina Earl led the Bruins with eight points.
