No. 14 Women's Tennis Throttles No. 59 Sacramento State 7-0

STANFORD, Calif.- No. 14 Stanford blanked No. 59 Sacramento State 7-0 on Thursday afternoon at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium.

Stanford improves to 5-0 while Sacramento State falls to 3-2.

Stanford extended its home winning streak to an unthinkable 154 in a row (124 in the regular season), recognized as the longest active home winning streak of any intercollegiate sport in NCAA Division I athletics. The last time the Cardinal lost a home match was back on Feb. 27, 1999, when No. 4 California pulled a 5-4 upset.

The Cardinal locked up the doubles point and won in straight-sets at all six singles spots. Carolyn McVeigh provided the clincher with a 7-5, 6-2 victory at the No. 5 position.

Stanford is back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 17, against Boise State at 1:30 p.m.
