LONG BEACH, Calif.-- Stanford's women's team finished in fourth place at the South Regional No. 5 regatta, with the "A" Division finishing in the top-five five times over 10 races and the "B" division seven more top-five finishes amongst the 27 teams.
The "A" Division team of Eliza Richartz and Iris Clayter won two races on the final day, and finished fourth twice and third another time. Their 62 points ranked fifth amongst the competitors. The "B" Division team won the seventh race and were runner-up and third, two times a piece. The "B" Division would have faired better if not for getting disqualified in the sixth race.
It will be a buys couple of weeks for the sailing team it hosts the North No. 5 regional on Saturday and Sunday at the St. Francis Yacht Club in San Francisco, and the team conference championships at its Redwood City home on April 10-11.
Stanford Sailing: 128 points (fourth)
A Division: Eliza Richartz and Iris Clayter (62 points)
B Division: Hannah Burroughs and Megan Grove (66 points)
