No. 11 Stanford Blanks Oregon 7-0 To Complete Road Sweep

April 11, 2010

EUGENE, Ore.- No. 11 Stanford completed a sweep of its three-game conference road swing, blanking Oregon 7-0 on Sunday afternoon in Eugene, Ore.

Winners of 10 in a row, the Cardinal (17-1, 6-0 Pac-10) has not dropped a match since its only loss of the year back on Feb. 26, a 6-1 defeat to then-No. 4 UCLA. Meanwhile, the Ducks fell to 7-15 overall and 1-7 in league play.

Stanford led 1-0 after sweeping all three doubles matches.

All six singles matches were decided by straight-sets, with no Cardinal player allowing more than four games.

Stanford has just two regular season matches remaining: an Apr. 15 non-conference contest against Santa Clara and the Pac-10 finale against California two days later.
