STANFORD, Calif. - Tampa Bay Tabs Erik Lorig in the Seventh RoundDefensive End Runs Stanford's Draft Total to Three

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected defensive end Erik Lorig in the seventh round (253rd pick overall), marking the third Stanford player taken in the 2010 NFL Draft.

Earlier on Saturday, tight end Jim Dray was selected by the Arizona Cardinals while running back Toby Gerhart was a second round selection by the Minnesota Vikings.

Stanford's total of three draft selections are the most since 2007, when Trent Edwards, Michael Okwo and Brandon Harris were tabbed by the Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears and Houston Texans, respectively.

Lorig was limited to just five games in 2009 after suffering a groin injury in practice leading up to the UCLA game. He made the start against the Bruins, but was forced to the sidelines after just a few plays.

A preseason candidate for the Ted Hendricks Award, Lorig finished his senior season with 13 tackles and one sack. He had 95 total tackles and 4.5 sacks in 41 career games, including 25 starts.
