STANFORD, Calif. - The national finalist Stanford women's basketball team will be recognized in a pregame event at Friday night's San Francisco Giants baseball game at AT&T Park as part of the team's "College Night." Along with the team being recognized pregame, junior forward Kayla Pedersen will have the honor of throwing out the night's ceremonial first pitch.

The Giants will be taking on the Colorado Rockies at AT&T Park, with first pitch scheduled for 7:15 p.m.

The Cardinal finished the 2009-10 season 36-2, breaking the program records for most wins in a season and longest winning streak, as the team put together a 27-game run from Dec. 30 to April 4. Stanford reached the NCAA title game for the second time in three years and made the program's ninth Final Four appearance in San Antonio, Texas.

Pedersen, a right-hander out of Fountain Hills, Ariz., averaged career highs of 15.8 points and 9.9 rebounds per game in 2009-10, and was one of four Cardinal players named to the All-Pac-10 Team. Her top-flight play continued into the postseason, as Pedersen was named to three successive postseason teams, the Pac-10 All-Tournament Team, Sacramento All-Regional Team and the All-Final Four Team.
