TULSA, Okla.- Juniors Bradley Klahn and Ryan Thacher posted a pair of singles victories and teamed up for a doubles win on Thursday in main draw action at the D'Novo/ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla.
The tournament's No. 3 seed, Klahn outlasted Tulsa's Ashley Watling 6-3, 6-7 (4), 6-4 in the opening round before taking down Nebraska's Benedikt Lindheim 6-3, 6-3 in a second round match.
Having already won three straight qualifying matches just to reach the main draw, Thacher downed Vanderbilt's Ryan Lipman 6-4, 6-4 in the first round before collecting a 7-6 (2), 6-2 win over California's Pedro Zerbini in his next match.
Klahn and Thacher then outdueled Louisville's duo of Alejandro Calligari and Simon Childs 9-7 in a first round doubles match.
Competition resumes Friday.
