TULSA, Okla.- Junior Bradley Klahn advanced to Saturday's main draw semifinal singles round, highlighting action for Stanford on Friday afternoon at the D'Novo/ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla.
Klahn defeated Marcel Thiemann of Mississippi 7-6 (5), 6-4 in a third round match. Fellow junior Ryan Thacher was not as lucky, falling to Duke's Reid Carleton 6-4, 6-1 to close out an impressive tournament run that included three qualifying wins and two victories in the main draw.
Klahn battles Louisville's Austen Childs on Saturday, in a rematch of last year's NCAA singles final won by the Stanford lefty.
In doubles action, Klahn and Thacher cruised by Cal's Nicholas Andrews and Jonathan Dahan 8-1 before falling 8-5 to Ohio State's team of Chase Buchanan and Blaz Rola.
