Stanford Rebounds in Round Two

NORFOLK, VA-- In the team race at the Szambecki Intersectional, hosted by Old Dominion, Stanford opened up with a 1-6 record, before rebounding to go 4-4 in round two in a team race skippered by Peter Stemler, Nick Dugdale, Oliver Riihiluoma and Ben Pedrick.

The Cardinal sailed a double round robin on the Elizabeth River with NE-E breezes ranging from 5-15 knots. The Cardinal have one more round robin on Sunday before the top-four and bottom-four compete.

St. Mary's College of Maryland leads the overall event between eight colleges with a 13-1 record. Sailing continues through Sunday.

In Long Beach at the No. 5 regional regatta hosted by USC, the Cardinal women are in third place with 63 total points. Both divisions are in fourth place, with the "A" division has 37 points and the "B" division has 26 points of the 27 teams. The "B" division also finished second in back-to-back races to end day one.
