MADISON, Wisc.-- Stanford Sailing finished in ninth place at the team championships following one day of sailing on Lake Mendota on Sunday.
The Cardinal are one of eight teams nationally which will sail in all three national championships, as the women's team was 13th earlier this week. The team race features three boats from one team, against three from another, the top combined finished of all three boats is the head-to-head winner.
After a day's delay due to little or no wind, Stanford went undefeated in the consolation round placing ninth amongst the 14 teams. The Cardinal went 2-4 in a seven team round robin to begin the championship, before going 5-0 in the silver round robin of six teams.
The Cardinal conclude its season with the coed championships beginning on June 1.
