THOUSAND OAKS, Calif.- Bradley Klahn took home singles and doubles titles on Monday afternoon at the Sherwood Cup, completing an impressive tournament weekend heading into the dual match season.
Klahn defeated USC's Steve Johnson 6-2, 6-4 in Monday's championship match, repeating as the Sherwood Cup singles champion after besting Baylor's Denes Lukacs in last year's title contest.
It was the fifth career singles championship for Klahn, who also won the ITA Northwest Regional Championship and NCAA Singles Championship last year after snagging the Pac-10 Championships singles crown in 2009.
That turned out to be just the first piece of hardware Klahn collected on the afternoon, teaming with Ryan Thacher to outlast Baylor's Roberto Maytin and John Peers 8-6 for the doubles title.
Klahn and Thacher have now won five doubles championships together, including the ITA National Indoors title back in November.
