PULLMAN, Wash.- Jeremy Green scored a season-high 24 points to lead Stanford past Washington State 75-62 on Thursday night.

The Cardinal (13-10, 6-6 Pac-10) shot a blistering 87.5 percent from behind the 3-point line in the first half (7-8) and did not miss until 2:03 left in the half. Stanford made 9-16 three-pointers for the game. The torrid pace allowed the Cardinal to go on a 15-2 run midway through the first half and take a 45-28 lead at the break.

Stanford shot 50.0 percent for the game, including a 62.1 percent clip over the first 20 minutes en route to a season-high 45 first-half points.

Dwight Powell added 16 points and eight boards, Anthony Brown chipped in with 12 points and Jarrett Mann dished out a career-high 11 assists while scoring seven points and grabbing four boards.

Green knocked down all five of his three-point attempts and is now tied for fourth place with Kris Weems at 201 on the all-time career list.

Mann's 11 assists were part of a season-best 20 handouts for Stanford, which shot over 50.0 percent from the field for the second consecutive game.

DeAngelo Casto led Washington State (16-8, 6-6) with 22 points while Klay Thompson had 15 points and seven rebounds.

Trailing 45-28 at intermission, the Cougars sliced the deficit to 56-55 at the 8:38 mark following two free throws from Brock Motum.

But Stanford responded with a 13-4 scoring run, going back up by double figures at 69-59 after two free throws from Green with 2:30 remaining.

Head coach Johnny Dawkins:
On Stanford's first-half effort:
"I thought our guys were very sharp throughout the first 20 minutes. We were sharing the basketball and making connecting plays, similar to Saturday against Arizona State. We've had some good first halves on the road, in games such as Arizona and UCLA. It comes down to everyone taking care of the basketball and of course, making shots. You can see these guys developing a chemistry as the season moves along."

On holding off Washington State in second half:
"I was most proud of our effort there. They cut the lead to one, and I thought our group showed maturity. In that situation, on the road and with their crowd, our guys settled down and really executed on each possession."

Junior Jeremy Green
On Stanford's first-half performance:
"I think that everyone came out focused and our offense was really clicking. That being said, our defense was not great right there and there are some things that need to be cleaned up. Overall, that was as good a first half as we have had all year."

NOTES: Stanford improved to 69-58 all-time against Washington State and earned a split of the season series after the Cougars notched a 61-58 victory at Maples Pavilion last month ... Jeremy Green has produced three straight 20-point games, a feat he also accomplished last year (25 against Oregon on Jan. 23, 25 against Arizona on Jan. 28 and 20 against Arizona State on Jan. 30) ... More importantly, Green appears to be out of his shooting slump. He has hit 10 three-pointers in a row over the last two games (5-5 vs. Arizona State, 5-5 vs. Washington State) after knocking down 11-42 from long range over the previous six games combined ... Jarrett Mann's 11 assists were the most for a Stanford player since Mitch Johnson's school-record 16-assist performance against Marquette in the NCAA Tournament back on Mar. 22, 2008. Over the last four games, Mann has totaled 30 assists compared to just eight turnovers ... Coming off a 25-34 performance at the foul line against Arizona State, Stanford cashed in again at the free throw line by making 16-19. Conversely, Washington State was just 9-19 ... Josh Huestis was 2-3 from the field, scoring four points and grabbing three boards in 17 minutes off the bench. Huestis' miss of a put-back midway through the first half represented his first missed bucket since UCLA on Jan. 22 ... Washington State leading scorer Klay Thompson was held to just 15 points on 6-13 shooting.
