STANFORD, Calif.- No. 1 Stanford remained unbeaten with a quick 7-0 victory over Oregon on Friday afternoon, ushering in the start of Pac-10 play at Taube Family Tennis Stadium.

Fresh off a title at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships earlier this week, Stanford (10-0, 1-0 Pac-10) easily cruised past Oregon (6-3, 0-1 Pac-10) to post a win in the conference opener for both teams.

The win also extended Stanford's NCAA-record home winning streak to an unthinkable 170 consecutive matches (138 regular season, 32 NCAA Tournament)- a streak that spans nearly 12 seasons and is recognized as the longest active home winning streak among all sports in Division I athletics. The Cardinal has not lost at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium since a 5-4 setback against No. 4 California back on Feb. 27, 1999.

With the threat of rain in the forecast, singles was played first. Kristie Ahn picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 4 and Mallory Burdette notched a 6-2, 6-1 victory for the first two points.

Stacey Tan won her match 6-1, 6-4 on court four before Nicole Gibbs clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-2 triumph on court three.

Stanford swept the doubles point.

Stanford is back in action tomorrow against Washington State at 11 a.m.
