Wong and Watson Earn All-Conference Marks

STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford sophomores Kristina Wong and Sally Watson both earned All-Pac-10 Conference honors on Tuesday, as Wong was named to the second team while Watson picked up honorable mention accolades.

Wong leads Stanford in stroke average and has five top-10 finishes to her credit this season. She placed in the top-5 in five consecutive events before placing 19th at last week's Pac-10 Championships.

Watson, a second team honoree last season, has carved out a 74.4 stroke average in her nine events this season, with her best showing coming at the 36-hole Peg Barnard Invitational, where she finished tied for fourth. She also finished 12th at the Pac-10 Championships in Tempe.

Stanford will compete in the NCAA Central Regional, to be held May 5-7 at the Warren Course in South Bend, Ind. The top eight teams from each of the three regionals will advance to the NCAA Championships in Byran, Texas.
