No. 2 Women's Tennis Storms Past Oregon, 6-1

EUGENE, Ore.- No. 2 Stanford wasted little time in putting away Oregon on Saturday afternoon, picking up a 6-1 road win.

Stanford (2-0, 1-0 Pac-12) was playing just its second match of the year. Saturday's contest counts toward the Pac-12 standings.

The Cardinal won all three doubles matches to claim a 1-0 lead.

Stanford followed with singles wins at spots 1-5, including 6-0, 6-0 victories from Stacey Tan and Veronica Li.

Nicole Gibbs clinched the contest with a 6-1, 6-0 triumph at the top spot of the lineup.

Stanford is back in action on Saturday, Feb. 11, against Pepperdine at 12 p.m.
