ANNAPOLIS, Md.-- The No. 6-ranked Stanford women are in eighth place after the first of two days of sailing at the Navy Women's Intersectional. The Cardinal have two boats in the top-three of the Cal Invite on the San Francisco Bay.

The Cardinal are just 11 points out of fifth place out of the 20 teams participating. The A Division has tallied 68 points thanks to nine top-10 finishes in 11 races including wins in three races. Their score ranks second in the division. The B Division has tallied 130 points, finishing in the bottom half of the standings in seven races.

On the West Coast, Stanford has the top score of 21 points over 10 races and the third-best tally at 26 points. The top team has won four races and been second another three times. Cal's team is second at 25 points.
