No. 10 Men's Tennis Downs Yale, 5-2

March 10, 2012

STANFORD, Calif.- Playing its first dual match in two weeks, No. 10 Stanford picked up a 5-2 victory over Yale on Saturday afternoon at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium.

The Cardinal (10-4, 0-0 Pac-12) looked sharp despite not playing a match since defeating California 6-1 back on Feb. 25.

Yale (7-5, 0-0 Ivy League) dropped its second straight match after having won three in a row.

Stanford swept all three doubles matches to claim the doubles point and take a 1-0 lead.

After John Morrissey and Bradley Klahn posted easy straight-set victories, Robert Stineman provided the clincher with a 6-2, 6-4 triumph at the No. 5 spot.

Stanford is back in action on March 28 at Pepperdine.
