No. 5 Women's Tennis Cruises Past No. 28 Utah, 7-0

SALT LAKE CITY- No. 5 Stanford notched its second shutout of the year on Friday afternoon, blanking No. 28 Utah 7-0 to being a two-match road swing.

Stanford (9-0, 3-0 Pac-12) experienced little difficulty against conference newcomer Utah (7-4, 0-1 Pac-12), easily sweeping the doubles point and taking five of six singles matches in straight sets.

After Mallory Burdette and Natalie Dillon posted wins on courts two and six, respectively, Ellen Tsay provided the clincher with a 6-4, 6-4 victory at the No. 4 spot.

Stanford concludes its road trip on Sunday, March 11, at Colorado.
