STANFORD, Calif. - Sophomore Kaley Dodson (Seal Beach, Calif. / Los Alamitos) of the Stanford women's water polo team was selected as the Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of April 2-8.
Dodson scored three times in No. 2 Stanford's 9-8 overtime win against No. 3 USC. She also netted the game-winner in overtime, capping Stanford's comeback from a late 6-3 deficit.
The win improved the Cardinal to 19-1 overall and put it into first place in the MPSF with a 5-0 conference mark.
The sophomore driver has now scored 20 goals, becoming Stanford's sixth 20-goal scorer in 2012.
This is the second Stanford/Muscle Milk honor of Dodson's career, and the first of the season for Stanford women's water polo.
