MESA, Ariz. - The Stanford synchronized swimming team wrapped-up the 2012 season with a runner-up finish at the U.S. Nationals in Mesa, Ariz.
The Cardinal finished with a total of 19 team points, trailing on the University of Incarnate Word (71 points). The Coral Springs Aquacades came in third with 17 points, while the Arizona Aqua Stars (13 points) and the St. Paul Stars (7 points) rounded out the top-5.
Stanford juniors Madison Crocker and Jessica Guenther captured second place in the duet with a combined score of 167.100. The University of Incarnate Word's Saki Fujise and Inga Gillyer took the top spot with a score of 170.300.
Cardinal seniors Koko Urata and Alex Bollaidlaw end their Stanford careers with a third-place finish in the duet with a score of 165.180.
In the solo final, Crocker took fourth place with a 163.880 combined score. Fujise finished in the top spot with a 170.580. UIW's Gillyer was second (169.990), while Rosilyn Tegart placed third (167.510). Anna Nelson rounded out the top-5 with a 161.090.
