STANFORD, Calif.- No. 12 Stanford notched its third shutout of the year on Wednesday afternoon, blanking Pacific 7-0 in its final home match of the regular season at Taube Family Tennis Stadium.
The Cardinal (15-7, 4-2 Pac-12) snapped a two-match losing skid and next travels to Berkeley on Friday afternoon to face No. 14 California in the regular season finale for both teams.
Pacific fell to 8-12 overall.
Shuffling the doubles lineup on all three courts, Stanford swept at each position to take a 1-0 lead in the contest.
The Cardinal coasted in singles play, with no player surrendering more than four games in a set.
Denis Lin looked sharp in his return to the lineup, routing Jainendra Grewal 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 for his first victory in two months.
Bradley Klahn was next off the court, taking down Ivan Castro 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 1 spot for a 3-0 Stanford lead.
The clincher came from Matt Kandath on court three, cruising past Erik Cederwall 6-0, 6-2.
John Morrissey (6-2, 6-1 at No. 4), Daniel Ho (6-2, 6-4 at No. 5) and Ryan Thacher (6-4, 6-3 at No. 2) also registered victories.
