Cardinal Sail Into Fifth After Day One at National Semifinals

ANNAPOLIS, Md.-- Stanford Sailing is in fifth place at one of two National Semifinals after the first of two days of sailing.

With the top nine teams advancing, Stanford is nine points out of second place. No. 1-ranked Georgetown leads the 18-team field with 46 points, while No. 6 Roger Williams (54), No. 7 Hobart and William Smith (55), No. 2-ranked College of Charleston (57) and the No. 3-ranked Cardinal (63) round out the top-five.

Kevin Laube has skippered the A Division to 30 points, finishing in the top-seven in all six races. Oliver Toole has skippered the B Division to 33 points with five top-seven finishes.

This side of the bracket features six top-10 teams and nine of the top-20 teams nationally.
