EUGENE, Ore. -- The Cardinal got the Pac-12 Championships underway over the weekend, competing in the heptathlon and decathlon. Madeline Treasure and Kevin Cardey each earned personal bests, but it was not enough to finish in the points.

Treasure was competing in just her second heptathlon, earning a personal-best score of 4,939 points. The score was almost 300 points better than her debut at the Texas Relays and was good for ninth place in the Pac-12.

Treasure earned her top score in the 200 meters, running a time of 25.29 to score 860 points. She also excelled in the 100-meter hurdles by scoring 850 points after running a time of 14.94.

In the decathlon, Kevin Cardey made his debut with 6,329 points to finish 15th. Cardey scored 810 points after running 11.23 in the 100 meters for his best score.

Corey Dysick also competed, but dropped out of the comepetion after no-heighting in the pole vault.

Stanford will return to Eugene for the full Pac-12 Championships this weekend, May 12-13.
