AUSTIN, Texas-- Stanford finished off the first of three national championships in 13th place at the women's national championships. The Cardinal dropped four spots after finishing ninth over each of the first two days.
Able to sail seven full races, after just a total of six the first two days, the Cardinal finished with a combined 277 points.
The B Division skippered by Molly McKinney secured 130 combined points, finishing in the top-nine of the 18-team field five times, while the A Division team skippered by Sally Mace, tallied 147 points, finishing in the top-nine in three times.
On Sunday, the three-day team racing will be followed by the three-day coed championships in Austin.
