AUSTIN, Texas-- Stanford coed sailing finished off the national championships in eighth place with a combined 221 points over the three days and 12 races.
The B Division squad of Oliver Toole and Haley Kirk skippered their boat to top-nine finishes in seven races for 97 points.
The A Division skippered by Kevin Laube or Mateo Vargas secured 124 of the points with top-nine finishes in five races. Georgetown won the championships with 122 points.
The Cardinal finished three points behind Hobart and William Smith College (218) and Boston College (207) and ahead of Boston University (232) in what became a four-way race for sixth over the three days.
Stanford finished eighth in team racing and 13th in the women's regatta, one of a half dozen teams in the championships.
